Donald Rich, MBA

Financial Advisor
Senior PIM Portfolio Manager
Donald Rich, MBA
With over 50 years of experience in financial advisory, Don is dedicated to helping individuals meet their financial needs by developing investment plans around their long-term goals and risk tolerance. His extensive experience - throughout major shifts in the markets - enables him to help his clients structure balanced portfolios to address their specific financial goals.
Don earned his BA degree from SUNY Buffalo in 1968. In addition to applicable securities registrations, he holds a MBA from CUNY-Baruch Graduate School of Business. He taught Options Strategies to E.F. Hutton brokers in 1973 and 1974, from the inception of the CBOE.
As a firm believer in utilizing carefully tailored hedging strategies to effect risk management, Don views efforts toward downside protection and risk mitigation amongst the most important objectives a financial manager can pursue on a client’s behalf. This process alters the risk-reward profile of the stock market and may be suitable for your needs. It is very important to discuss this strategy on a rolling basis, as implementation requires vigilance and regular, detailed reviews.
His mission is to provide every client with targeted, comprehensive financial advice and portfolio management - delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
Estate Planning Strategies
Don can work with you and your other professional advisors - including your CPA and attorney -to develop an estate planning strategy that is appropriate for your circumstances. Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network does not provide legal or tax advice. Be sure to consult with your own tax and legal advisors before taking any action that could have tax consequences. Any estate planning strategy should be reviewed by an attorney specializing in estate planning and is licensed to practice law in your state of residence.
Advisory Programs
Don offers advisory programs in which a quarterly fee, assessed in advance, based on the assets in your account, replaces traditional commissions. Fee-based programs are not designed for excessively traded or inactive accounts. Please carefully review the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network advisory disclosure document for a full description of our services, including fees and expenses. During periods of lower trading activity, your costs might be lower if our compensation were based on commissions.

Joseph Goett
Joseph's aim is to assist you in informed, responsible stewardship of your assets for lifetime and generational needs. If you are planning for retirement, saving for your children's or grandchildren's education, or looking to preserve and grow your wealth- he can help. Before entering the financial services industry Joseph served as the Director of Charter Sales at a private aviation firm, as well as Vice-President of Sales and Development for its information technology subsidiary.
Planning for Retirement
Retirement can bring significant changes to both your lifestyle and finances. It represents a time when you may no longer be working, or perhaps working less, and when your income will likely come from various sources such as your savings and investments, Social Security, and pensions. Ensuring that these income sources can support you throughout your retirement is critical. It requires a plan that seeks to sufficiently manage common retirement obstacles while also effectively responding to unexpected retirement income challenges. Whether you're an individual seeking tax-deferred growth or a business owner wanting to offer employees an attractive benefit, Joseph can help you navigate the complex choices available to you. He offers assistance with a full array of retirement plans, including: IRAs and IRA rollovers, Roth IRAs and conversions, Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) and Keogh plans, SIMPLE plans for small businesses, as well as 401(k), pension, and profit-sharing plans.
Comprehensive Investment
Making sure your wealth continues to work in support of the goals you have established takes careful planning. Such planning is not a single event - it is a process. As your life circumstances change, so must the investment strategies we use to stay on course toward meeting your objectives. What may be a well-constructed portfolio for one investor may not be appropriate for others. Each individual or business has different risk tolerance, goals, time horizons, tax considerations and other needs. That is why Joseph works with you to design investment strategies targeted to your specific needs and goals.
Finding the Right Balance
Poorly constructed and managed portfolios can endanger the realization of your goals. The best way to help ensure preservation of capital and take advantage of the periodic growth across various asset classes and sectors is a carefully diversified portfolio, with a level of risk to fit your specific needs.
Getting Started
Rich, McManus & Goett Group has programs which leverage capabilities across the entirety of our divisions- resulting in a holistic approach to addressing your business and personal needs.
